5/6/08 02:13 am - Writing? WTF?

So...this popped into my head today between classes and I couldn't stop it until it all came out. This is the first time that I've written anything about the Brothers Winchester, so please be gentle. It's not even 500 words, so just a little sentimental peek at the boys lives with a slight hint of delicious Wincest. 435 word drabble for fun that was unbeta'd, don't knock it

1/2/08 01:26 am - Happy New Year!

So technically I missed posting on the 1st of 2008, so the 2nd will have to do. This year certainly was interesting and busy and I can't believe some of the things that have happened. 2007 really went by quickly to me, so I'm a bit excited to see what will happen in 2008! ^^

I'm not big on resolutions, reflections are much better, so I'm going to reflect briefly on the good and bad from this year. You judge on what was what. ^^;

- put Whiskers, my soul mate and best friend, to sleep
- graduated from Cabrillo and transfered to Chico State
- went to my first They Might Be Giants concert
- got a tattoo
- went to the All-Star Game in SF
- rekindled a friendship I thought I'd lost for good
- moved away from home for the first time
- watched some friends do things that I couldn't protect them from
- came to terms with not needing a significant other right now
- turned 21
- worked on being a better friend as a whole
- communicated and kept in touch better

A lot of them are more positive than negative, but really that's how the year felt. I hope that everyone else had a good 2007 and I wish you the best for 2008! <3

12/25/07 10:29 pm - Holidays!

Happy Holidays to EVERYONE!!

I hope that everyone had a good holiday! My Christmas was very small and quiet, and it was so nice to be home for it. I got a few things that were completely unexpected, but mostly a lot of practical stuff for school. The best was a new iPod since my old one got a bug and quite literally died, but I did get a personalized Giants jersey and the Supernatural Season 2 DVD box set, so those were close seconds. ^_^

Now tomorrow I get to have lunch with a friend I haven't seen in years and in a week I'm flying to LA for a 21st b-day party. In between now and the 28th I have to hang out with people, see some movies, have Subu Bleach my brains, and various other things that can only be done in SC. I love the holidays~ <3

12/18/07 07:00 pm - ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH!

So much to my delight and horror today I discovered that there was a Bleach musical out in Japan, several in fact. Since I had seen the Live Action Sailor Moon before, I was very, very wary of what the Live Action Bleach would look like. Surprise surprise when it actually turned out to be somewhat decent! ^^

The costumes are done incredibly well and don't look like their obviously fake (example: Renji and Kira's hair), which only the Japanese can seem to do when they dress up as characters. I was most impressed by their Ichimaru, who almost seems to be the DJ of sorts, leading in the many games of Jan-Ken-Po they play (Japanese Rock-Paper-Scissors). They have a good mix of banter between characters before using the jan-ken-po matches to decide who will be singing one of their image songs, from the Beat Collections I'm assuming.

The best one, though, I have to put up here because it's just incredible. In this one Gin is looking for someone to sing a duet with him since he usually sings it with Matsumoto, who seems to be missing. Cue the jan-ken-po game to decide who is lucky enough to be Gin's new partner and...well, watch and see!! XD

*EDIT*
I can't seem to get the video to embed from YouTube, so here's the link.

ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH!!

WATCH IT!! <3

12/10/07 09:16 pm - Legal!

My birthday was on Saturday and I am now 21! Yay!

It's not that big of a deal for me to be able to legally drink really, it's just that the majority of my friends up here are over 21 and so when they go out, I don't usually get to go. v.v

So yea! Hurray for being legal! The next step is 25 for I can rent myself a car. ^^;

Avatar: The Last Airbender. What element do you bend?

You are a Waterbender!Nation: Water TribesMartial Arts Style: Tai ChiOpposing Bending Art: FireNotable Waterbenders: Katara, Master Pakku Waterbending's defensive maneuvers focus on control through turning an opponent's own strength against him, rather than directly harming the opponent. Waterbending provides a versatility of experience. Waterbenders also possess thermokinetic abilities regarding their element, meaning that they can freeze, melt, evaporate or condense the water they manipulate at will. Waterbenders in particular possess the ability to heal wounds by redirecting energy paths (or chi) throughout the body, using water as a catalyst.A Waterbender's primary weakness is his or her need for an external source of water, though a skilled Waterbender can condense the natural moisture in the air or on the ground into a usable form. A Waterbender's power is connected to his or her present emotional state. If an inexperienced Waterbender loses his or her temper, his or her waterbending power is intensified, but in turn, control is lost.

This just amuses me a lot and holds some RP potential. :3

Life goes on as busy as ever. Some things never change, no matter where you are.

I will not be attending Yaoi Con this year sadly. There are a few reasons, but most of all because the person I promised to go with won't be able to make it and my 'Ruka won't as well. Financially I can't do it either and getting to and from Chico is just a bit too much. Maybe next year, when things are a bit more settled.

3 DAYS TO GO~! <3

9/29/07 05:33 pm - THE BEST SHOW ON EARTH!!!

Last night I went to go see They Might Be Giants in Sacramento and it was AMAZING!!!! A band called Oppenheimer from Ireland opened for them and they were very good and cute, watch out for their air horn solos! Then THEY came out and the show proceeded to rock so hard my ears were throbbing and I lost my voice a little bit.

Let's see if I can do one of those credit card commercial run-downs for you... ^_^

TMBG No! shirt and CD: $40

Oppenheimer Air Horn shirt and CD: $40

TMBG new Album The Else in vinyl, signed by the whole band: $20

Ticket to the show: FREE

Getting out of class and deciding to go last minute, without a ticket, and driving 2 hours to get there just in time for an amazing and incredible show, all alone: PRICELESS

So yes, $100 well spent for an evening and show I will never forget. The songs they played were fun, some new and some classic, including my Profile song, "Birdhouse in Your Soul". I am still on a high from the show, EVERYONE should go see these guys, they are freaking amazing.

9/17/07 10:28 pm - Of weekends and frisbees

Firstly, happy birthday to one of the best writers EVER, [info]blue_soaring!! Hope you had an excellent day and I wish you much porns and pretty things! Your Envy loves you~ <3

Secondly, ultimate frisbee is the most amazing game ever when you're not being forced to play it for PE. I went to a held by the Computer Graphics club up here with some friends and it was amazing. The most fun I've had since being up here. Then we watch an incredibly amazing and horrible movie called Ninja Hunter (you must find this and watch it! Beware of bad transitions!) and then Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. An eventful evening, ending in crashing on my friend Mike's floor.

I also got my ring today that I ordered from a site [info]asieluniversity told me about and it is very pretty.

9/9/07 12:27 pm - Oh Stuffs

First, Happy 21st Birthday to Padfoot! I hope you have a great one and don't party too much tonight!

Second, I must become a letter writing fiend because I have a few to reply to and usually I'm a bit of a slacker when it comes to that. So I must push myself to write! YOSH!

School is going surprisingly well and I'm enjoying my classes except for one, with a boring professor. I'm remembering more than I thought I would in 2nd semester Japanese and my Geography class makes me happy because we get to color in maps! ^_^

There is also way too many amazing places to eat here and I think I may, in fact, gain the Freshman 15 because I've been eating like crazy. Padfoot blamed it on the full moon, but that was a week or so ago...hehe. Food is so good, though the digestion chills still get me and I still eat barely more than a bird.

I sit here now staring at my Supernatural DVD's and am really seriously cursing the CW for the 3rd season not starting until FREAKING OCTOBER!! *HUFF* They're driving me CRAZY with that! SOOOOO ME~AN! The 2nd season comes out in 2 days, but still~ *whimper*

I'm off to get dressed and actually do something productive today, laundry and letter writing are calling~ But then it's Spaghetti Night! Yay!

8/22/07 12:11 pm - Outta here

I'm moving up to Chico tomorrow morning for school. I'll post my address and all that when I know it and I should have internets right off. Now it's just time for final packing, final shopping, and all that jazz.

8/19/07 12:07 am - Testing the water

Well it seems as though I've ended up here on IJ now. Maybe I'll go through the entire alphabet of journals before I find one for good. LJ, GJ, now here.

I'm keeping the LJ for now since I have a bunch of RP business to attend to, but we'll see how things go here. I for sure wanted to follow Pond to keep up with here, cause us pale kids have to stick together, and lots of other good mates are around too. Here goes nothing ne?

Oh! And since my LJ name is apparently a syndicated feed here, the name is changed. ^_^ Still tashi_chan on LJ, but now hotashi here.
